Первый Благотворительный вечер “Адвита-США” фонда состоится 25 сентября . Это будет бенефит в пользу Texas Children’s Cancer Center and Advita -USA Фонда
It is time for another update, and we have some good news to share with you. We are happy to report that our non-profit was approved for Google Grants – which means we will be getting free ads from Google. We hope it will help spread the word about our fund to other cancer patients and potential supporters.
« Dear Friend,
Thank you for your support of our non-profit! As part of our commitment to open communication, we will be sending you quarterly updates about our patients and the help we provided.
In the first three months of 2010 we raised over $11,000 through our website and several fundraisers – dinners, garage sales and photography exhibits. We are very grateful to several new volunteers who have taken step forward and organized fundraisers to benefit the patients. Thank you very much! If someone is interested in organizing an event, please contact us and we will supply you with all the necessary information.
Thanks to your help, we were able to continue paying for lodging expenses for Kirill Tyutyunnik, a 7-year-old neuroblastoma patient from St. Petersburg, who came for treatment to the US in December 2009. After undergoing several different chemotherapy protocols and radiation therapy at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Kirill and his parents transferred to MD Anderson hospital in Florida where another clinical trial for neuroblastoma with an investigational drug nifurtimox is underway. Kirill’s doctor in Houston felt that it was the best option for Kirill. By now Kirill had finished the first cycle of chemo and we are very hopeful that it will work well for this brave little boy.
We also transferred $4,000 to the bone marrow donor registry in Germany to contribute to the bone marrow donor search for a 13-year old Nastia Pimenova, who lives in an orphanage and has no family support. Nastia suffers from acute lymphoblastic leukemia. She had beaten it twice already, but this time she needed a bone marrow transplant to save her life. Nastia underwent bone marrow transplantation on March 27th in St. Petersburg. She is now recovering and feeling well.
